Your compassion means a lot to me, Beth. As for all that's happened in such a compact time frame, it's like that quote from John Green or whoever said it: ". . . very slowly and then all at once." I feel like a lot of the grieving had already happened, and the wedding sure was a wonderful and life-affirming event. But the grief does sneak up on me in weird ways, and your kind words remind me why I might be having trouble settling down and writing "productively" since I got back!
