Not enough of us know about Takotsubo — I didn't, and I suspect I suffered a milder case of it right after my firt husband died suddenly. I had pains in my chest that felt a lot like that pencil eraser image you vividly employ. But with two grief-stunned kids at home and a house full of freaked-out relatives, I was too distracted to do anything about it. Guess I got damn lucky.
