Whew. The wildly ranging comments you’ve gotten are evidence of the risk writers take when we put our honest feelings and experiences out there. I don’t understand some of the reactions — but your article sure touches nerves. I for one found it painfully funny, and just as brutally honest about your own dishonest, people-pleasing behavior during that time of your life as it is about your ex-boyfriend’s unpleasant attributes. Maybe he’s grown up too . . .
