We are back living in the house we own in Boise, and that we rented out for 7 years while we lived in Napa Valley (California). During that time we did our level best to be non- BLEEP-hole landlords, and always treated our tenants with the utmost respect and fairness. And mostly, that was repaid by wonderful tenants — the only reason they didn't renew their leases was because of job transfers or because they'd completed the custom-home project that had prompted their rental in the first place. But there were a couple of folks who proved that the health of the tenant/landlord relationship requires good will on the part of both. Anyway, we're very happy NOT to be landlords anymore.
