Thank you, Dan. I agree that slavery is America’s original sin — but I maintain hope that we can overcome it if — and it’s a big if — enough of us, and our leadership, find the will to recognize, acknowledge, and do whatever can be done to atone. If Germany did it, we can too — although I’m aware that the Nazis were in power for a very short time in comparison to the history of slavery in America.
