Lucky for my boys (ages 38 and 33), routine circumcision was just coming under scrutiny when they were born. Their father and I were very clear that we weren't about to have their genitals cut on for no discernible reason. I recall with a chill the nurse asking me on day 2 of my hospital stay with my firstborn (we used to get to stay that long, back then), "He been 'cirked' yet?" I pretty much sat watch over him after than until we were home.
