Kristi — there is of course no template for how grief "should" be negotiated, but the journey you've shared with your readers since the passing of your son has been a gift. You've portrayed the initial disbelief, the pain, the sorrow, and also your developing acceptance, expansion, and, ultimately, gratitude. Not that you're all "done" with grieving or that it's all done with you, but I believe you've put it in the right place: one that informs your life without diminishing it. I'm not articulating this well, so I hope you catch the feeling beneath my words and overlook their clumsiness!
