I've worked in both private and public middle-school education, and this is one of the most cogent takes on ADHD I've read. Yes, it's a real thing. And yes, it's over-diagnosed. And empathically yes to the assertion that drugs can sometimes be helpful but they should NEVER be the first line of treatment, nor the only one. Also, could we please build more outdoor time and physical activity into the school day?
