I've only flown first class a couple of times . . . but once, back in the 90s it was on a Turkish Airlines flight from New York to Istanbul. A flute of Dom Perignon and a canapé awaiting me at my giant seat as I boarded. Chicken Something With Truffles In It as we crossed the Atlantic. Attendants that coddled me with such intensity I felt like I was being prepped for surgery. The downside = the entire cabin crew, when they weren't actively flying the plane or coddling First Class, spent every spare minute smoking like chimneys. I got off the flight literally shaking from second hand smoke.
