I wish you peace and a respite from all this, Shannon — and I salute your courage in writing about it. And thank you for pointing out the glaring truth that nobody wants to mention when it comes to weight loss or dieting: HUNGER. Hunger sucks. It’s primal, and it can be relentless, and we are hardwired to quell it. Any “plan” or regimen that consigns a person to chronic, unrelenting hunger is not only doomed to fail, it’s cruel.
