I went to Goodman School of Drama in Chicago when it was still part of the Art Institute, waaaaaay back when, so I know whereof you speak — at that time, the whole South Side, especially right around the U of C, was notorious. But you know what? Not getting all up in someone’s face because they’ve offended you is a pretty good recipe for an overall better life pretty much anywhere.
