I was the youngest by far of my three siblings (the euphemism "bonus baby", AKA unplanned, applied to me) and so the first one to grow up with a TV in the house. I was also a terrible sleeper and an early riser. Not only did my parents not restrict my TV consumption, they taught me how to turn it on when I was three so I could watch the morning farm reports that came on before regular programming started.
