I have a personal essay coming out soon in HuffPost, about my two sisters — both of whom have serious neurological diseases. I changed their names, but I also checked with them and our close family members to see if they were okay with it going public. As the very kind and sensitive HuffPo editor said, once the story's up, there's no way to really call it back.
