I can't speculate on the motives of Anna Marques' EH (Excessive Highlighter, as you dub him), but I can understand how she might find his habit irritating. On the other hand, if I had my own personal EH, I'd assume his intentions were benevolent if overeager, and I sure wouldn't call him out publicly. As you say, it's nice to be read!
