I am so sorry you are being subjected to this distasteful (and, really pathetic) form of harassment. As you correctly point out, it's a desperate attempt at dominance, a spasmodic, primitive form of hostility that is fueled by anonymity. Your response is intelligent, well-considered, and well-articulated — so yes, I assume you can expect more such displays. Is eliminating anonymity in comments, etc., the answer?
