Aaaargh! Like all con artists, hackers have a nefarioius way of making their victims feel like it's their fault. And yet, how many times have I been asked to vote for something online, by my beloved grandneices and grandnephews, by people who are trying to secure a grant or prize — and I (gasp) have done this myself? Short story long, you are blameless, and good on you for doing what it took to resecure your digital identity. But what of people who aren't that quick on the keyboard? We are all sitting ducks, and this ratchets my level of distrust up to an 11 out of 10. Which still doesn't make me safe.
